About

The Palmetto Data Collaborative (formerly known as SCDDGG) was founded to help education leaders — including district and school leaders, educators, policymakers, family members, funders, and partners — across South Carolina get the greatest impact from data. We equip these leaders with reliable, well-governed data practices so they can make informed decisions that strengthen their schools and improve student outcomes. We are stronger together.

Mission

To support the strategic and critical need to consistently manage data assets and technical resources across all entities supporting student success in South Carolina.

Experience in Action

Our Board Supports Districts in Practical and Meaningful Ways

The Palmetto Data Collaborative (PDC) Board is composed of experienced educators who bring a grounded, common sense approach to their leadership. Most board members are South Carolina natives who are deeply connected to the state’s schools and communities.

The board advocates for data practices that both meet state requirements and protect the security and privacy of student information. At the same time, they recognize the power of education data when used responsibly — not just for compliance, but also as a tool to unlock insights that can improve teaching, learning, and ultimately, student outcomes.

The board balances pragmatism with vision. They are committed to building systems that work for schools today, while also setting a foundation for long-term improvements in how education data can drive progress across the state.

We are 74 districts strong, working together for better student outcomes.
